AusEBike: The Australian Electric Vehicle Revolution

Having recognised the problems that were preventing Australian customers from enjoying the full benefit of electric vehicles, Steve Holtom then set about identifying the a strategy that would allow him to provide a high-quality product. This led to the development of the AusEBike Strategy.
The AUSEBIKE Strategy - “High Performance, High Quality Battery Vehicles”
-
Design vehicles to suit the Australian conditions and Australian laws (with police approval)
-
Purchase high quality components (Australian-made wherever possible)
-
Assemble the vehicles locally (to ensure build quality)
-
Support the vehicles through a national sales/service network
-
Don’t lie about performance (and challenge the customers to test the others’ claims)
-
Provide a range of performance upgrades (staying within the law) including IVT transmissions
AusEbike does not intend competing with the EBay sellers – or even the established importers of cheap Chinese battery bikes. AusEBike believes that Australians, having bought cheap bikes, will identify the benefits of the electric vehicle and realise that a good quality product makes more sense in the long-term. And when they go looking for a quality electric vehicle, AusEBike will have on offer exactly what they are seeking.
AusEBike is committed to developing and utilising technologies that enhance the performance of electric vehicles. One example is AusEBike’s proprietary IVT (infinitely variable transmission) which is built into the drive hub. With an IVT upgrade, the AusEBike vehicles can offer twice the grade-ability (hill-climb capability) and twice the top speed of equivalent power hub-motors. Also, by reducing the amps drawn, the AusEBike IVT can also provide a substantial increase in travel range. AusEBike’s IVT is one of the factors that allows AusEBike’s vehicles to provide the performance that the “cheapies” just can’t match.
Pretty simple – the solution turns out to be much less complex than the problem!
